The Halstead
Last week, I toured a very interesting property in the Medical Center area named The Halstead. The Halstead is a property managed by Cortland. This property is actually two separate buildings, a converted office building and separate apartment buildings. The Halstead is a great example of an adaptive reuse of an older mid-century office building into apartments.

Neighborhood
The Halstead is located in Southwest corner of Loop 610 in the Medical Center area near Bellaire. This property is very close to great shopping and restaurants as well as walking trails along Braes Bayou. The neighborhood did flood during Hurricane Harvey, but The Halstead is built to withstand flooding in the units and their are flood abatements projects going in along Braes Bayou to prevent future flooding.
